Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2011 TAI National Convention, which will take place 3 - 7 August 2011 at the Gaylord National Hotel & Resort just outside of Washington, DC. All convention volunteers are welcomed and appreciated, as your assistance is what will make this historic event a success.  

Please take a moment to complete the following information in sections I and II below based on your availability.  Upon submission, you will receive a call from our Volunteer Coordinator to confirm your assignment(s) and schedule Orientation.

DOTA/Heritage Committee
Description: Organize DOTA (Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen) and Heritage member participation in the convention.
 
Finance Committee
Description: Developing convention financial plans and tracking convention finances.
 
Fundraising Committee
Description: Contact potential sponsors to obtain financial support for the convention.
 
History Committee
Description: Research history supporting the Tuskegee Airmen and produce materials for distribution.
 
Hotel Committee
Description: Coordinate convention activities at the Gaylord Hotel.
 
Logistics Committee
Description: Coordinate contracts for convention transportation and merchandise.
 
Military Affairs Committee
Description: Coordinate military participation and support for the committee.
 
Public Relations Committee
Description: Marketing of the convention and working with various forms of media.
 
Protocol Committee
Description: Serves as the single point of contact for all DOTAs and distinguished visitors attending the convention.
 
Technology Committee
Description: Develop and maintain convention website and electronic media.
 
Youth Committee
Description: Planning youth activities and working with local community to recruit youth.
